Gameplay has also been made faster with ships being faster and weapons doing more damage. This is a mod that brings widescreen (without external tools/wrappers) to the game, on top of vastly improved graphics, new/improved skirmish and conquest missions, and many new ships and stations. Installation is quick and easy with the included installer Gulli4: I'm proud to announce that version 3.3 of the SFC3 Upgrade Mod has been released, it can be downloaded here. I know that you most likely do not have the means to fix 2.) and possibly 3.), but maybe you can address 1.).

Weren't you planning on distributing dgvoodoo (iirc, it does not have this bug) along with the mod as an alternative? Or does this no longer work with 3.3? To be fair, this also happens with the vanilla version.ģ.) And then there is still the issue of vanishing models during warp speed. I tried all combinations of options in dxcfg, but nothing helps but to lower the resolution.

GoG's vanilla version offers full 32-bit support (suspectedly, because it does not need this compatibility setting).Ģ.) I have to lower the resolution to 1024x768, otherwise large portions at the right and bottom of the main menu (including the background window) are not shown, but the mouse pointer is visible in these areas. Also, I have to set 16-bit in the compatibility option to see the menu. After skipping the videos, the game is resetting its resolution again, this time respecting the settings of dxcfg. But the intro videos are rendered only in a very tiny portion in the upper left of the screen, leaving most of the screen empty (black). I got a an issue with the mod when starting the game.ġ.) The resolution is then set to 640x480 and fullscreen (thereby resetting the sizes of ALL programs that I launched to this point, even if they are minimized), ignoring the settings in GoG's dxcfg program (didn't you say that your mod works perfectly with GoG's DX wrapper?).
